Doris Helen Palmer
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Doris Helen Palmer, age 97, who left this world peacefully on August 14, 2026. Doris was born on August 10, 1929, in Pikeville, Kentucky, to the late Emil and Angie Wagner.
She was also preceded in death by her sons Richard E. Deneau, Michael G. Deneau, her grandson Joey Deneau, siblings Ed, Kenny, Glen, Alzie, Violet, and Colleen. She is survived by her children: Linda Copen, Randy (Diana) Cummings, and Dale (Reba) Cummings.
Doris was a proud grandmother to 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Doris had a special passion for sewing and quilting, which brought joy to her family through gifts of quilts, repairing stuffed animals, and creating beautiful doll clothes. Doris’s kind heart and generosity extended beyond her family. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests that donations in her memory be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, an organization close to her heart.
There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
