Mary Lou Lipscomb Walker, 91, passed away on August 9, 2026, in Charleston, WV.
Born on August 15, 1934, Mary was a lifelong resident of Charleston and was a proud graduate of Charleston High School. Mary chose a path of dedication to her family as a homemaker and lived her entire life devoted to her family.
Mary is survived by her husband, John Walker; sons, David Walker and his wife Maria, and Michael Walker; as well as her cousins, Cathy “Kac” Elkins, Martha “Marce” Smith, Harriet “Sherry” Mitchell, and Shari Hall. She also leaves behind her best friend since the first grade, Norma Jean Nelson Cavender, and cherished neighbors Clint and Joy Thomas.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Lipscomb and Dolly Mae Posey Lipscomb; brother, Robert Lipscomb; sisters, Lillian Lipscomb and Anna Mae Lipscomb Scott; son, Bruce Ray Walker and his wife Donna; and her daughter-in-law, Kim.
A private service will be held to honor Mary’s final wishes.
