Wilda Myrl Hunt, 85, of Clendenin, WV passed away peacefully on October 28, 2026, at CAMC General Hospital, surrounded by her family.

Born on June 16, 1941, and raised among 12 siblings, she lived a healthy, wonderful life centered around the people she loved most. A devoted wife and mother, she found her greatest purpose and happiness in caring for others.

Wilda is survived by her sister, Mary Young of Spencer; her son, Calvin Clinton Hunt Jr. of Clendenin; and her son-in-law, Norman Keyser of Steubenville, Ohio. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Zachary Hunt (Danielle) of Charleston, Gracie Hunt (Jacob) of Elkview, and Chance and Melody Keyser of Steubenville, Ohio, as well as four great-grandchildren: Russell, Bryce, Blake, and Blair. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, all of whom she cherished deeply.

She was welcomed into eternal rest by those who went before her, including her parents, Morris Young and Delphia Kincaid; her beloved husband of 60 years, Calvin Hunt; her daughter, Sandra Keyser; her six brothers, Raymond, Johnny, Clifford, Kermit, Kenny, and Web Young; and her five sisters, Emogene Newhouse, Erma Stump, Kathleen Payne, Anne Hayes, and Carolyn Ferris.

There is comfort in knowing that she will now be reunited with her soulmate, Calvin, her daughter, and the many others she spent her time on Earth missing. Her greatest legacy is the family she loved who will carry her memory on. She will be missed by all.

A shared service will be held, for Wilda and her daughter Sandee, on Wednesday, November 4th, 2026 at Elk Hills Memorial Park, at 12 PM noon, with visitation starting an hour prior. There will be a gathering at Coonskin to immediately follow.

Arrangements are in the care of Hafer Funeral Home, 50 North Pinch Rd, Elkview, WV 25071
