Deloris B. Moles
Deloris B. Moles, 87 years old, of Charleston, West Virginia went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She is rejoicing in heaven, being reunited with numerous loved ones including her husband, Ted, whom she was married to for over 59 years.
Deloris was adored by her grandchildren, and her daughter thought she was the best mother and friend she could have ever asked for. Deloris loved her family deeply and spent her life dedicated to taking care of all of them. She enjoyed baking cakes with her mother and giving them to everyone they knew. In her spare time, Deloris spent hours every evening laughing and talking on the telephone with her sister, Connie, as well as numerous friends and family members. She was a member of Teays Valley Baptist Church. She loved Senior Pastor, Dr. John D. Smith and the Assistant Pastors at that time, which were Jared Shumate, Chad Estep, and Jered Green whom all preached the word of God. She also thoroughly enjoyed listening to the choir.
Deloris is preceded in death by her husband, Ted Moles, son, Marc Moles, mother, Catherine Hunter, father, Harold Hunter, sister, Ruby Kerfoot, and nephew, Jason Ward. She is survived by her daughter, Lori Moles, grandsons, Hunter Moles and AJ Noel, granddaughter, Olivia Noel, niece, Kara Ward, sisters, Lolita Coon and Connie Walker, and brothers, Eston Hunter and Ralph Hunter.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Meadowbrook Acres Nursing Home for their compassion and loving care.
A graveside service will be at Morris Family Cemetery on Sunday, May 3, 2026, meeting at Hafer Funeral Home in Elkview, WV at 2 pm to follow the hearse to the cemetery with Preacher John D. Smith officiating.
