The beautiful matriarch of our family, Betty Lou Yeager, 93, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, WV. She was tirelessly surrounded by her family as she entered the gates of Glory. Born on March 10, 1933, in Cameo, WV, she lived a full and impactful life marked by her grit, strength, and faith. In the late 80’s-early 90’s, she was the proud owner of Betty’s Diner in Shrewsbury, WV, which served the BEST hotdogs in the Upper Kanawha Valley. During her later years in life, her grit and strength were exemplified as she navigated through countless life-altering health challenges like the Queen she was.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Vernon & Cynthia Stone, her husband, Eustace “Pee-Wee” Yeager, brother, Ernest Stone, sisters Ann Bonnett, Mildred Bias, Virginia Smith, and Beulah Bess. She is survived by her devoted children David, Steve (Karen), Karen (David), Ronnie, Lou Ann (Tom), Kevin (Cindy), and Cindy (aka Buffy/Mark). She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Friends and family will be welcomed at Cooke Funeral Home Chapel in Cedar Grove, WV from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm, with a short service to follow, on Monday, May 4, 2026. Burial will follow the service at Ward Cemetery, Ward, WV.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks a donation be made to the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, WV in her honor.
