Kimberly Walker Payne, 64, of Rand WV went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 22nd, 2026.
She was born in Charleston, WV on March 16th, 1962. She is a graduate of Charleston High as well as West Virginia State; Upon graduation she went on to pursue a career in wireless communication. Kimberly dedicated over 15 years of time to the wireless industry where she poured every ounce of kindness, passion, dedication and overall love to each and every person she came in contact with. While maintaining a busy career Kimberly was also a dedicated mother, PTA president, supportive daughter, devout church member and overall servant of the Lord. Later in life Kimberly lived out her dream of owning and operating a Bakery “Heavenly Flavored Cupcakes” dedicated to her late mother with the intention of servicing her hometown of Rand WV. Her hobbies were baking, singing, dancing, laughing, and spending time with her loved ones as well as her church family at Levi Baptist Church of Rand WV where she was a member of the choir.
She is preceded in death by parents Thomas Earl Walker Sr and Grace Marie Richards, along with her brother Thomas Earl Walker Jr.
She is survived by her Son Darrell (Megan) Payne, Grandson: Darrell T Payne JR “DJ”, Brothers: Charles King, Richard Kind, Tony King, William King, Stepmother Shirley Walker, along with a large host of cousins, nieces, Nephews and other extended family.
Services will be held on Saturday June 6th, 2026. Visitation will start at 12:30 pm, Memorial Service will begin at 1:00 pm
