Glenna Faye Prater King, 75, of Englewood, Florida, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on July 25, 2026.
Born on April 19, 1951, in Flemingsburg, Kentucky, Glenna was the daughter of the late Kelly Prater and Colleen Jackson Ellington. She lived a life filled with love, faith, and devotion to her family and friends.
Glenna worked as a beautician for many years, a profession that reflected her caring nature and love for people. She enjoyed helping others feel beautiful and confident and formed many lifelong friendships throughout her career.
Prior to moving to Florida, Glenna was a faithful member of Rock Branch Independent Church. Her faith was an important part of her life and guided her in the love and kindness she showed to others. She enjoyed traveling and especially cherished spending time with her family. Whether gathering for holidays, celebrations, or simply spending time together, her greatest joy was being surrounded by those she loved.
Glenna will be remembered as a beautiful lady with the prettiest smile. Her warmth, gentle spirit, and loving heart touched everyone who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and treasured memories that will live on in the hearts of her family.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Charles “Randy” King; her children, Lisa Nelson (Lloyd) of Hurricane, West Virginia, Pat King (Shannon) of Rotonda West, Florida, and Will King (Pam) of Nitro, West Virginia; her eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; her siblings, Euwilla Jolley, Jennie Faris, and Morris Jackson; along with a host of extended family members and dear friends.
Though her family grieves her passing, they find comfort in the love she shared, the example she set, and the countless lives she touched. Her legacy of warmth, compassion, and devotion to family will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
Services have not been finalized at this time. Arrangements will be announced by the family when available.
