Richard “Rick” Gerse, 85, of St. Albans passed away August 11, 2026
Rick came to the Kanawha Valley with FMC in 1966 and remained a valued employee until his retirement. He was active in troop leadership with Scout Troop 146 at St. Andrews United Methodist Church, and enjoyed hiking, camping, and canoeing with family and friends.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents Erwin and Rae Gerse
.
He is survived by his wife Martha, his son David, and grandchildren, Scott and Cedar Gerse.
Richard will be cremated and the family will have a private celebration of his life at a later date.
