Pearl M. Barton, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away on August 11, 2026, at the age of 94. She was dedicated to raising her four boys on love and home cooked meals. Pearl was known around town for her cooking. Some of her famous favorites were broccoli bread, fried turnovers, and Christmas candy. Her peanut butter fudge was extremely well known! She welcomed everyone into her home. Whether it was for the holidays or just to visit, her door was always open. She loved having her family together on Sundays for dinner after church. She was a member of Glasgow Church of the Nazarene.
Pearl is now reunited with her husband Clarence, son Dennie, daughters in law Debbie and Melody, as well as several brothers and sisters. Her memory will live on through her sons Donnie of Scott Depot, Danny (Lori) of Charleston, and Dwayne (Stephanie) of Cabin Creek. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Donnie Barton II, Brooke (Ryan) Bailey, Candice Martin, Dennis Barton, Danielle (Sam) Mavrick, Brianna (Greg) Poore, Cory (Brianna) Barton, and Ashley (Brandon) Ross. Pearl was also blessed with 17 great grandchildren.
Services will be 12:00 noon Monday, August 17th at Cooke Funeral Home Chapel, 600 Old Fort St., Cedar Grove, WV 25039 with Rev. Gordon Killion Jr. officiating. Burial will follow the service at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home Monday.
