Robert Lee “Bob” Carte Sr, 80, of Elkview, WV passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, after a long illness.
Bob was born on May 4th, 1946, to Tressie (Wilson) Crowder and Fred Carte.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by all of his siblings.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Marie (Milam) Carte; daughters, Joyce Burns, Shirley Carte, and Bobie (Cliff) Stover; son, Robby (Elisha) Carte; 7 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
Bob also leaves behind many friends he made over the years through his love of coon hunting.
The family will honor his wishes and there will be no service.
