Cindy Lou Harper
Cindy Lou Harper, 65, of Leon, WV passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at her home with family by her side.
Cindy devoted over 40 years of her life to grooming dogs, starting at the age of 18 until recently, turning a job into a true calling. She had a natural gift with animals and a gentle way that made every dog feel safe and cared for. Her love for dogs was matched only by love for her family. Cindy treasured the time spent with those closest to her, creating memories filled with laughter, warmth, and unconditional love. She will be remembered for her kind heart, her dedication to her work, and the joy she brought to both people and their beloved pets.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Darris and Bonnie Harper; and sister, Vickie Wriston.
Cindy leaves behind her husband Dennis Paugh; children, Shoneta Casto (Matt), Jason Epperley (Sara); grandchildren, Austin Stricker, Mark Boucher, Brandon Boucher, Brianna Epperley, Hunter Casto; great-grandchildren, River Stricker, Aubree Stricker, Allie Stricker, Parker Stricker, Gabe Boucher, and CeCe Boucher.
A funeral service will be at 1:00pm on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Hafer Funeral Home with Pastor Clarence Deel officiating. Burial will follow at Elk Hills Memorial Park in Big Chimney.
Visitation will be from 12:00pm-1:00pm on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Hafer Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in Cindys name to the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association, 1248 Greenbrier Street, Charleston, WV 25311.
