Mrs. Tasmine Anna “Tess” Austin, 66, of South Charleston, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 30, 2026.
Tess was a devoted caregiver throughout her life and career, working as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She found deep purpose in caring for others, a quality that extended far beyond her profession and into every aspect of her life.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Catherine “Catie” Austin of Charleston, and her son, Jason S. Austin of Princeton. Tess was a proud and cherished grandmother to Johnathan Austin, Hannah Austin, Kailee Pennington, Sarah Pennington, Mia Bailey, and Gemma Austin. She also held a special place in her heart for her two bonus granddaughters, Lynzi Bailey and Nikki Bailey. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Huston, Harper, Rylan, and Saylor.
