Mrs. Rhonda Lynn Legg, 71, of Black Betsy, went to be with the Lord, peacefully on Saturday, May 30, 2026.
She was born on February 20, 1955, to the late Thomas “Sonny” McAllister and Mona Brown. She was a graduate of St. Albans High School in 1973.
Rhonda was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, mama, and friend. Remembered for her infectious laughter and bright smile, she was a constant source of joy and positivity for her family and friends. Her life was a testament to enduring faith; no matter the hardships she encountered, she trusted completely in the Lord. Her family finds comfort knowing that she now walks with Her Savior Jesus Christ.
In addition to her parents, Rhonda was preceded in death by her brother, Todd McAllister.
Rhonda will be lovingly remembered by her husband Barry; son Eric (Amanda) and daughter Renee; her beloved grandchildren, Madison Smith (Evan) and Tanner Legg; her great grandson Nash Smith; her sister, Kim Schultz (Jeff); and her stepmother Toby Parsons (Charlie).
A tribute to the life of Rhonda will be 2:00 PM Monday June 1, 2026, at Gatens-Harding Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor James Legg officiating. Burial will follow in Haven of Rest Memory Gardens, Red House. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
