Mary Barbara Resler, 89, of Charleston departed this life, Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Brookdale Charleston Gardens.
She was born September 21, 1936 in Charleston, WV. Daughter of the late, John Howard and Mary (Sodaro) Resler.
Barbara was a lifelong resident of Charleston, a graduate of Charleston Catholic High School, Morris Harvey College and Bellarmine University. She put her nursing skills to use at CAMC for over 35 years.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving siblings, Catherine “Katie” Hoyer and Tom Resler both of Charleston and Monica Lockton (Tom) of Lynwood, Ill; numerous loving nieces and nephews, great- nieces and great- nephews and a host of other family and friends.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Brookdale for the loving care they extended to Barbara.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM., Friday, June 12, 2026 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Charleston with Rev. Thomas Dharelli officiating. Barbara will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston.
Family and friends will gather for a time of visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
