Robert “Wayne” Asbury

Robert Wayne Asbury, 64, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 21, at hospice Hubbard house after a courageous five-month battle with cancer with his loving wife by his side the whole time.

Wayne was a man who lived life with passion, determination, and a spirit that could never be ignored. He was known for being high-spirited and opinionated, never afraid to speak his mind and stand up for what he believed. Those who knew him appreciated his honesty, his strong character, and the laughter and stories he shared along the way.

Wayne was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting and fishing and spent many treasured hours doing what he loved most in nature. Whether he was in the woods hunting, on the water with a fishing rod in hand, or sharing stories about his latest adventure, he was happiest when surrounded by the outdoors he loved so much.

Above all else, Wayne loved his family. His children and grandchildren were the center of his world, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He was a proud father and grandfather whose love, guidance, and devotion will remain with his family forever.

Wayne was also known for his kindness and friendliness. He never met a stranger and had a way of making people feel welcome wherever he went. His warm heart, generous nature, and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Though his battle with cancer was brief, Wayne faced it with strength and courage. His legacy of love, laughter, determination, and friendship will continue to live on through the many lives he touched.

Wayne will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. While our hearts are heavy with loss, we take comfort in the memories he leaves behind and the love he shared throughout his life.

Forever loved, forever remembered.

To honor his wishes, there will be no service.
