Mamie E. “Sue” Martin passed away June 26, 2026, at CAMC Memorial Hospital. She was surrounded with family during her final moments.
Sue was born on May 3, 1951, in Clendenin, WV to Otho R. and Dolly K. Dye. She was proceeded in death by her loving parents, sister Rebecca F. Duffield, brothers James L. Dye, Junior B. Dye and her beloved son Charles Aaron Scott.
Sue enjoyed a fulfilling career spanning several decades in the banking industry with final years in the collection department of Truist Bank, Charleston.
Sue was devoted to her family and showed them unconditional love. She always loved you just as you were.
She was strong in her faith and was a member of Mount Tabor UMC, Pinch, WV.
Sue is survived by her loving husband, Jerry H. Martin, of 26 years, her brother Otho Jay (Mary) Dye, special niece Connie Woodrum, Stepdaughters, Marlene G. (Chris) Brisendine, Renee L. Martin, her grandchildren Isaiah and Anna Kate Brisendine, and several nieces and nephews.
Sue’s family celebrated her life in a private service.
