Timothy Robert Young, 51, of Cross Lanes, WV died unexpectedly on October 6, 2026, at his home.
Tim was born on January 29, 1975, in Charleston, WV to Charles and Delores Young. He graduated from Nitro High School in 1993. He was a trumpet player in both his junior and high school marching bands.
Tim spent the majority of his career working in the family laundry and dry-cleaning business. He was known for his quick wit, his ability to fix anything, and his love for his sons. He enjoyed family camping trips, cooking on the grill, vacations at the beach, and working on trucks with his sons.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Kimberly Kitchen Young, his son’s Mason (Serenity Hamrick), and Callen Young. His sister Rhoda (Mark) Reed, his brother Blaine (Donna) Young and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Delores Young, and his son Gavin Young.
Family and friends are invited together for a celebration of life on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Living Hope Church (formerly Perrow Presbyterian Church). Visitation will be from 1pm-2pm with the service immediately following.
