John Wayne Elmore, 64 of Clendenin, WV, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2026 in Clendenin.
John was born on October 5, 1962, to John and Cora Elmore.
John was preceded in death by his mother, Cora Bell Elmore, his brother, Virgil David Elmore and nephews, David “Punky” Elmore and Andrew Jacob Elmore.
He is survived by his father, John Elmore, sons, Justin Elmore and Joshua Quinn and daughters, Sarah Elmore (Danny Hager) and Amanda Nicole Elmore (Dakota Haddox). He is also survived by his brother, Lee Elmore (Cathy) and sister, Cora Elmore. He was a beloved grandfather to Marshall Drennen, Anthony Drennen, Wyatt Hager, Braylyn Means, Jaycelyn Myers and Kaelyn Greenberg. He was also a beloved uncle to Hollie Elmore, Summer Bateman, Courtney Hall, Robbie Elmore, Tyler Hall, Logan Hall and Jospeh Elmore. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Amanda Suann Quinn and his ex-wife and mother to his son, Diana Davis Woolwine. He was also proud uncle to numerous great nieces and nephews.
A service will begin at 1:00pm, Friday, October 23, 2026, with brother, Lee Elmore officiating at Hafer Funeral Home
A public visitation will be from 12:00pm – 1:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will follow immediately at the Elmore Family Cemetery, Clendenin, WV.
